Nothing was more exciting to me as a kid than going out to eat at Rainforest Cafe — anytime I saw the faux-jungle facade of the restaurant in a mall I just couldn’t resist making my parents buy me overpriced waffle fries and a tree frog stuffed animal. Over the years, however, the novelty of theme restaurants like this wore off and I became accustomed to dining in finer establishments. You know, like T.G.I. Friday’s and such.
But according to this infographic, there are weird theme restaurants around the world that deserve a second chance from nonbelievers like me. No, I don’t really want to dine on a surgical table in Singapore or lick sushi off a naked lady in Japan (both for sanitation reasons), but I wouldn’t mind trying out the blind dining experience in San Francisco and I’d be more than happy to have dinner under the sea in the Maldives.
Which of the weird theme restaurants listed below would you be most likely to make a reservation at on your next trip?
