It’s Rhianna’s birthday! Why the hell are you at work?

It’s weird to think how long it’s been since the “Diamonds” singer came onto the scene a good 7 years ago. Back when “Pon de Replay” became a club staple and everyone was finding out where this girl came from, it became easy to agree that  Barbados seemed like a good place to go visit. When she wasn’t busy working on a new #1 single or hooking up with other musicians to get over Chris Brown, Rhianna pulled a country of ogling eyes back to Barbados with a series of travel campaigns, most recently in 2012.

But why does she get all the love? Well yeah, she is Rhianna. There’s been a whole slew of talent with Barbadian roots coming to the states for years, and it’s about time you paid attention!

Like the rest of you, we’ll wait impatiently for that Gwyneth/Rhianna duet. No really, it could happen.
