via @TravelCulture - The macabre headline of today’s roundup comes from this article entitled “The Road to Hell is Paved… Volunteering the Wise Way.” A catchy title like that will make me want to read about anything, even the somewhat dry topic of voluntourism.

via @HuffingtonPost - I’ve crossed off 18 of HuffPo’s 30 travel experiences to have before you turn 30, and I’m confident I’ll be able to accomplish the rest over the next 6 years. However, I’d recommend adding a few more to this list, like “getting thrown in foreign prison” or “hooking up with someone who doesn’t speak your language,” because that shit just ain’t cute when you’re out of your 20s.

via @tripheros - My 10-day excursion down the western coast of South America was amazing, but I already feel like I need to go back to see more. Apparently I have to go backpacking next time, as it seems to be all the rage for reasonably young folks like myself.

via @gingernomads -  I am totally into the “This Is My Canada” posts that Canuck bloggers were posting a while back. I’m not Canadian, but I did grow up in Michigan, which pretty much makes me an honorary citizen – which means I could totally write a post called “MY Canada Is In The United States” and almost get away with it.

via @DoSomethingCool - This guide to negotiating a month off of work in order to travel is very interesting. Did you see that, bosses? Very interesting.
